With the third week of January underway, local athletes are finally settling back into the groove of their sports after winter break. Many winter sports are coming up on the halfway points of their seasons, which means there are still many games to come. Here are all the local sports games this upcoming week:
Fort Lewis College basketball:
FLC women’s basketball vs. South Dakota Mines on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Records: The Fort Lewis women are sitting at 5-9 overall and 2-4 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The Skyhawks have won two of their last three games, including a dominant 78-55 showing against Westminster last Saturday. South Dakota Mines is 2-11 overall, with a 2-4 RMAC record.

FLC men’s basketball vs. South Dakota Mines on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Records: The Fort Lewis men bring a 9-6 overall record and a 3-3 RMAC record into their matchup with the Hardrockers. The Skyhawks hope to bounce back from their 113-108 defeat in triple overtime at Westminster on Saturday. South Dakota Mines will come into the game hoping to snap a five-game losing streak that has them sitting at 1-13 overall and 1-5 in RMAC play.
