After some rest, local sports teams are looking to start the new year on the right track. High school basketball, wrestling and ice hockey teams will travel this week, while Fort Lewis College will head to Ignacio to play a Native American heritage game. Fort Lewis College basketball:
FLC women’s basketball vs. Navajo Technical University on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Records: The FLC women hope to break a four-game losing streak as they head into the Sun Ute Community Center to face Navajo Tech. FLC sits at 3-8 overall and 1-3 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.
